CALEB the Science Club met with Nursing Students from Mizzou last Saturday and were able to get hands on experience in the Skills Lab! The kids had a great time checking vital signs on mannequins, learning how to "dress" a wound and learning how to help patients who might not be able to help themselves.
One of our boys being "lifted" from his chair to demonstrate helping patients who are not able to physically get up themselves.
A "CALEB regular" having fun experimenting with the lift machine!
One of our girls sitting in a mobility chair! The kids LOVED this station!

I couldn't help but notice one of our very active young boys jumping from room to room, and everytime I saw him he would say "That room was my favorite...no wait...that one. Hold on...I think I liked this station best!" Obviously he liked them all!! I think we might have a future doctor or nurse in our midst!
A big thank you to all the Nursing students who made the morning such a success! Can't wait till next time!!
